“Those who hope in the Lord will run and not be weary” Isaiah 40:31

What is RENEW Toronto?

RENEW Toronto is OCY’s largest annual gathering of young adults from the Archdiocese of Toronto and beyond. This year, on Christ the King Weekend (Saturday, Nov. 23), 600+ Young Adults aged 19–39 will gather to deepen their Catholic faith through keynote presentations, breakout sessions, praise & worship, Mass, Confession, Eucharistic Adoration and fellowship. Attendees leave the conference with renewed hearts, eager to be more involved in their faith and make a difference in the Catholic community.

RENEW has become a cornerstone for many young Catholics in the Toronto area. It is not just a conference, but a weekend promising to be filled with meaningful experiences and spiritual growth. This year our speakers will build on the WYD theme “Those who hope in the Lord will run and not be weary,” drawing from the Lord’s promise in Isaiah 40:31. We will be encouraging the young people to renew their call to pray, call to hope and call to do.

Event Highlights: Keynotes, Mass, and Adoration

Key moments to look forward to at RENEW include powerful keynote speeches from renowned speakers, a beautiful Mass and an opportunity for adoration and confession. This year we are happy to welcome Dr. Andrew and Sarah Swafford as our keynote speakers and the following workshop speakers; Fr. Alex Colautti, CC; Sr. Beata Victoria, SV; Christy Dupuis, CCO; Fr. Matt McCarthy, Archdiocese of Toronto. We will also be supported by our Emcee Michael Chiasson, Access 52 and our worship band Steadfast Worship.

Our speakers this year have been carefully selected to inspire and challenge young adults, offering fresh perspectives on faith and how to find hope in the Catholic Church in a secular world. The Mass and adoration provide moments of deep reflection and connection with God, making the day truly transformative.

Why You Should Attend: The Impact of RENEW Toronto

Attending RENEW Toronto can have a profound impact on your spiritual journey. It's more than just a conference; it's a chance to reconnect with your faith, meet new people and renew your hope in the Lord.

Mariana BosettiMany past attendees have shared how RENEW Toronto has revitalized their faith and provided them with a renewed sense of purpose. Mariana Bosetti, Chaplain at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School, shared:

"Participating in Renew as a volunteer was a great experience. I met people that I still talk to, and I got to meet several vendors and hear their stories. Hearing different stories was a reminder that God’s timing is perfect and that He is good. I’m always amazed to see so many people gathered in the same room for the same reason: love and thirst for God. Attending Renew was what I needed to be renewed in my own faith and keep going when times are hard."

Evidently, the connections made and the experiences shared during this event often leave a lasting impression, making it a must for any young adult Catholic to attend.
